Overview

The Life Church is committed to nurturing the spiritual growth and engagement of our young members and their families. The Kids Pastor plays a vital role in fostering the faith and character of grade school children, 18 months to grade 5, building strong relationships with parents, and creating a supportive church community. This position focuses on spiritual development, parental engagement, and effective program implementation, ensuring alignment with The Life Church’s mission to inspire people to live a better life through faith.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in children’s ministry or youth leadership.

• Strong understanding of child development and spiritual growth.

• Ability to lead a team of volunteers and coach developing leaders. 

Responsibilities

• Spiritual Development of Grade School Children:

• Implement age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities.

• Organize engaging worship experiences and prayer times.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to nurture faith and character.

Foster Relationships with Parents

• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and spiritual growth.

• Offer resources and support for at-home spiritual activities.

• Create opportunities for parents to be involved in ministry activities.

Program Administration and Volunteer Management

• Train and recruit volunteers for efficient implementation of church programs.

• Assist in organizing and compiling the Sunday school curriculum.

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with various leaders in the community for purposes of swift outreach programs.
